Does anyone else feel this way?

I understand how you feel. I moved to a new country when i was very little and unfortunately when your parents have to work more than usual hours It was hard for me, cause i had no support at a early age. I could say I was in the same cycle as you, no motivation to do anything i remember enjoying but rather surviving through life by working and embedded chores. I've been through the self harming stages as well, it got real bad at one point so i had to live with my close friends so i was never alone.

I can safely say that I'm making progress. I live with friends who i find supportive and bring endless laughs. I've started to do things I want to do. Music, sports, film studies, philosophy is a few things i've found interesting. I focused on myself than work which helped alot.

You have surround yourself with positive people who will support you I'm sure you have someone you trust the most and able to talk to him or her about anything. You're going through a important stage in your life in my opinion. Learning to get back on your feet after something like this makes you stronger mentally and physically which i've noticed as well. Although I don't know you in person, I have trust in you because i know you can escape that cycle as i have been in your shoes. Live.
