Does anyone else have a hard time emotionally connecting with new players after we had that crazy string of hitting on prospects from 2015-2018?

I felt this way with the 2009 team. I felt it was too artificial for the most part and only had a few players I enjoyed watching like Andy, and Hideki. I did and still love C.C. though. As for the other two big free agents, A.J. wasn’t a great fit but had a great World Series and I prefer many other first baseman in Yankees history over Texiera. My favorite teams were actually those late 90 and early 2000 teams. Even though the early to mid 2000 teams didn’t win a championship, players like Hideki Matsui (my favorite player of all time with Pujols on the St. Louis Cardinals, Ichiro, and Randy Johnson) and Jason Giambi brought personality to the team and made them entertaining to watch. I just wish they were as clutch in the playoffs as they were in the regular season. Lastly, I have to respectfully disagree about Gerrit Cole. He’s the one of the few people who shows emotion on this team like when he screamed at the Rays dugout during game 5 to shut them up after they were getting full of themselves.
