Does anyone else find it infuriating that thousands of people are protesting Trump's presidency when there are things far far worse than that?

I think the biggest immediate danger in a Trump Presidency comes twofold:

  1. Reputation. Say what you want about his (alleged) business acumen, his erm ... well whatever else you think he has going for him... after this election, do you understand how embarrassing it will be for America to have Trump represent the country on the world stage? Interacting with heads of states and dignitaries, all the while knowing they're aware of his every well documented indiscretions. I can see that being a constant source of acute discomfort for Americans, whether you like him or not.

  2. Trump induced bigotry. Americas racial tensions are a clusterfuck at worst, barely ticking over at best, and despite adopting arguably/blatant racist policies, there's never been a president with so many ethnic-based slurs to his name. There's been reports of Trump induced bigotry since his victory and although I'm sure it will mellow with time, it's difficult to see the environment that causes diminish any.

Tough times ahead America.
