Does anyone else not understand what people mean when they say to only do medicine if you don’t see yourself doing anything else?

My take on it is first identifying certain values and characteristics you need for each job or certain circumstances that apply to each job. For example, if I were to go into business I know connections could make or break my success or if I were to work a corporate job office politics would play a good deal into if I wanted to really advance my career. So these kind of factors deter me away from those career options ( but I am aware that connections and social politics do play a role in medicine to but not too such an extent as other fields ). Also I don’t see myself enjoying what I would do in other career fields but if you’re unsure I would try shadowing other career fields to get the best way to figure out if you see yourself in it. But just take everything i say with a grain of salt at the end of the day.
