I don't really have any female best friends but I don't exactly relate to your post. I have female friends I can talk to about stuff, if I needed to, but I was raised to be pretty independent and a lack of empathy and caring from my parents has caused me to be very withdrawn and personal about my feelings and emotions - I'm simply used to dealing with them on my own, more often than not. I can talk to my boyfriend about most anything, he's my best friend. I have one female friend who I feel like I can talk to about anything, but she doesn't live near me anymore so while she is a good friend, she's not a best friend.

I have a lot of close friends of both genders who I love dearly and feel close to but they're generally more for having fun with and debating politics than sharing feelings, lol. That's okay with me. I deal pretty well on my own, and leaning on my boyfriend.

My sister is pretty supportive too, we get along, but she's not my best friend.

Idk. I like having a lot of "close" people in my life, but not necessarily a "best" anything.
