Does anyone else notice the sudden trend of pro-Assyrian posts being made by Turks on social media?

I am a Turk and honestly, I didn't know much about the Assyrians (I still don't), other than by name, until I saw a photo of Kurdish Levies posted on reddit and the slew of comments from Assyrians saying the photo was misleading, and those men were Assyrians. I've since browsed podcasts through twitter, learned more about Christians in the region (I used to harbor the US-SJ idea that Christians were not oppressed anywhere and didn't even think regionally or contextually, a huge blind spot I regret now). Also back in 2014, I supported an independent Kurdistan and believed Kurds were the majority in the area, so autonomy made sense. And now in 2019, it's less straightforward than I thought. Not sure 100% why I'm commenting here, but just wanted to say, with Assyrians speaking out, like the Levies post I saw on Reddit, I've learned more and regret not knowing more in the past.
