Does anyone else resent the previous owner of their home?

Our house was built in 1974 and had one owner. We bought it last year from his estate. He was 100 yo when he died and lived here on his own. His wife passed 25 years ago, so he was alone and old as hell. But he wasnt exactly a spring chicken any of the time he lived here. I can tell you that his old, blind ass couldn't see anything that needed maintenance, he probably hadn't even been upstairs in 10 years, and he got ripped off by every contractor he hired in the past 25 years. I know because his granddaughter kindly provided all his records to us. He got the cheapest/worst crap offered and it was all poorly installed. I think we were a bit optimistic when we bought it.

And Earl still lives here, pretty sure. We do, in fact, call the house "The Earl". His granddaughter was Debbie and we call annoying things "Fucking Debbie"s.

God bless them.
