This current moment of everyone working through their feelings and forming a consensus is going to be difficult. Anyone following the daily news the last four years is understandably pissed at the flagrant disregard for, and erosion of our institutions—and the 70mil saying “yes I want more of that”. We woke up to articles every morning about how schools, the middle class and poor, or the elderly are getting fucked while McConnell stops all policy and our president tweets divisively. Now we have to muster up empathy and be the adults while what’s left of the GOP is hellbent on taking the lowest road possible at every turn. All while social media and certain right wing channels demonize the adults for trying to clean up the mess. It’s going to be difficult.
