Does anyone here have experience with permaculture guilds?

We have a multi layered food forest canopy of various edibles, fruits, vegetables, perennials, root crops, canoe plants, coffee, and medicinals mixed with native plants, trees and misc. flowers.

The way the soil building symbiosis works is absolutely incredible. The dynamics of each acre is individual and unique in a year round productive manner. We have quite a few free range chickens that assist with fertilizing/ scratching/ non beneficial insect and frog removal, and we utilize the wild boar for tilling certain areas of the land as needed/ fertilizing. Allthough they don't always go where we attempt to direct them. But in that case they are food for the family.

Everything serves a purpose on our land. From food, fiber, organic matter, chicken feed, wild boar crops, medicinals, perennials, dye, attracting pollinators and providing natural spaces for native insects, climbers and windbreaks, native plants each serving a dynamic purpose, some for constructing needed items, ground covers to hold top soil, nitrogen fixating trees and plants, deep rooted plants and root crops to break up hard soil, IMO and natural farming, fruit trees spread about that assist in acidifying soils and soil building as needed, Mac nuts that do the same; and so many other applications of our edible food forest all add to our personal guild. We're still learning as we go and gathering from the wisdom of our elders.

We are just above 2,100 feet in elevation. High enough to have a coffee farm, apples, peaches and various other crops that are unwilling to thrive at lower elevations.

I have often pondered created a sub dedicated to sub-tropical and tropical permaculture. A place to share info, ask questions and post anything related to it. I have a lot to learn and think it would be beneficial to have a tropical permaculture sub.

I am very interested in the traditional Ahupua`a systems of Hawaii and have spent time farming/ gardening in many elevations related.
