Does anyone here have a tendency to lie without intending to?

Yes, and I hate it.

I really do want to just be honest but when I'm tried or don't know the person I'm talking to well then I tend to take the easy route of just lying until the conversation is over and I can leave.

I had to have a tooth pulled recently and when handing in my time-off sheet and said I'd be out for a dental procedure, and when pressed just said I was having a tooth pulled. My coworker asked "oh is it your wisdom teeth?" and I subconscious said 'close enough' and told her "yes". Come the next week I had to tell her in a conversation about wisdom teeth "No, actually it was just a molar, not a wisdom tooth. It was just easier to agree with your suggestion of wisdom teeth rather than explain the reality." She gave me an odd look and I regretted the whole situation and thought about it for weeks.
