Does anyone know of, or have a list of all the GameCube games that have been remade for the Switch?

Honestly I'm tired of companies like Sony and Nintendo not supporting their older products after the console they were on dies. Re-selling an HD-ified version of games like Windwaker for the WiiU was a nice gesture, but that takes time and money away from other new projects, and what happens when, you know, the WiiU is no longer the current gen console, is no longer being sold or supported? You wind up in the same boat you were in when you asked for the game to be ported from the Gamecube in the first place. You end up with an old, out of warranty, out of production console full of great games that you can no longer play on new hardware, depending entirely on an ever aging and ever diminishing supply of working hardware.

Nintendo needs to settle on a platform and architecture. If ARM is their CPU architecture of choice, then their future consoles need to all stay ARM, and their operating systems need to be advancements or variations of the one developed for the Switch. That way they don't have to waste their time and energy on picking which games do and don't get the remaster treatment with whatever consoles come next; because their older games would be able to run more or less natively without the need for resource intensive emulation of a foreign CPU architecture. My $400 laptop should not be able to play more Nintendo games than Nintendo's own current gen console that's going for $200-$300 and charges you extra for a sub-par online multiplayer experience.

Microsoft figured this out early, and even though the XBox 360 used PowerPC instead of x86, they went out of their way to do right by their user base and built backwards compatibility into the XBox One so that you can still play all those great XBox 360 games on your current, up to date, warranty supported hardware, and they've already announced that they're continuing that tradition with the Series X. You don't need to keep 4 different XBox consoles in your entertainment center, you just need 1 and it will play any game ever released for any previous XBox console. I'm all about PC gaming, but I have to give credit where credit is due, and when it comes to supporting their back catalog of games, Microsoft is the only current console company that's doing things right.

What the actual fuck Sony and Nintendo?
