Does anyone have practical advice for cutting corners or life hacks when in an extended period of crisis?

I went through severe crisis. I’ve never stopped going to work, through them. If you have a retail job where you don’t need your brain that much, go to work no matter how you feel. I say this because it forces you to focus on something mundane to keep your attention away from your situation. I went to work days after I was brutally beaten by a fam member, covered in bruises, and every time a customer left I would relive the moment and when a new customer came in it was like freedom from the assault because they force me out of my head. This is just my experience. Yeah retail can suck but when you’re in active crisis it forces you out of it. I would probably be dead if I took time off work days following the assault. Another thing I would suggest is don’t worry about anything that you don’t need. Don’t do anything you don’t have to do. Eat, go to work, stare into space, save your energy because you are in literal ongoing shock. You probably don’t have the energy to cook but you need protein. Tuna cans, soups, keep it simple. I’m basically telling you to stay dissociated. It will save you depending on how bad you are effected by your situation. Your guard will drop eventually but nows not the time to worry about that. Just save your energy for the things you need to do.
