Now this was back in the 1980s but I had a Stars and Bars towel. Our college athletic department allowed us one towel, which was very small at least for a 300+ offensive lineman. So like a clueless dumbass, I took the CSA towel as my second towel (we all had two). One of my teammates asked me why I had this towel as a Northerner and I said, which was true, that I used the CSA towel to dry my ass. No one had a problem with it and it was sort of a team bonding moment. When ever we needed a towel to pick up a spill or there was mud on the floor, I volunteered the services of that ratty assed towel.

My mother bought the towel at auction in a box of miscellaneous household goods for $1. She didn't know it was in there.
