Does anyone know of a storage solution like this?

I promise I don't work for the Container Store, and here's a link to the boxes I was referring to. http://www.containerstore.com/s/closet/storage-boxes-bins/view-all/our-clear-storage-boxes/123d?productId=11004743&green=B822964D-F701-5073-9F12-BFFED771CF09

We also have several of these containers (http://www.containerstore.com/s/storage/storage-boxes/store-it-all-totes/12d?productId=10027414) because my husband wanted black ones that would hide the contents. They fit nicely together and are more heavy-duty than the clear boxes linked above. We store his computer parts, wires, man-things etc in them.

There are less expensive containers out there but part of the appeal of these, to me, is that if I need more I know where to get them. They are a staple at TCS, vs. containers at other stores which come and go and change dimensions on me (thereby changing the fit of one container to another).

I know what's in each box because I label them, even the clear ones. But most of our boxes are also on shelving - wire or wood, and so stacked no more than 2 containers high. Wire shelving is great because you can adjust the height to fit whatever containers you use, and thus use the space more efficiently. We do have a couple of closets where containers are stacked with no shelving - that's for long-term stuff.

Good storage and organization can be awesome for helping to tame a chaotic environment. For me, it was empowering. From there, you tackle one box at a time. I'm proud to report some empty bins around here!
