Lot of people overlook this detail but I think another reason Andrew went with yellow lenses instead of White or Grey is because yellow lenses combined with a blue frame look more menacing and sinister. Andrew didn’t make his suit for the same reasons Tobey did. Andrew’s main priority of making this costume, is concealing his identity while searched the thug who gunned down uncle Ben. So it makes perfect sense that he would go for yellow lenses to strike fear in the hearts of criminals. Everything about this suit is constructed just so it seamlessly compliments the story of the movie. That’s why I consider the TASM 1 suit to be the best live action Spider-Man suit.
