Totally contradictory to who Christ's message and who He was/is. He says not to concern himself about who is "important". This is the pharisaical nonsense which leads people down these false paths of self glory and pride. The "true church" is anything but just by asserting itself as such. Jesus did not elevate people this way. How far this belief system has strayed. Then they feel "persecuted" when they are exclusive and so-called self-righteous like pharisees were.

Sorry-- also no prophet would be popular or living comfortably and praised like this church and many prosperity or prominent gospel evangelicals are. True prophets were humble and often outcasts who did not want to be recognized or elevated. John Baptist , Elijah, Anna elderly widow, early missinaries and martyrs for faith etc.

They would have scoffed at very idea of temple recommends and sealings or special exhalted etc. Jesus Himself was servant and was laid out on cross. We are to take up cross and also not do works to be seen or receive favor..even evil men do that( see lori and chad). No, sorry i will get blazed for this but that whole doing good for privilege or honor is exactly what Jesus abhorred and got mad at so called pious for their hypocrisy. They take emphasis off Jesus and make it about themselves and their "righteousness". None of us can brag or boast and many will be surprised that the very people who you think are unworthy are actually closer to His heart.
