Does anyone work for Kaiser

i think the issue is partly the fact that you're in a bubble. you claim to work for a facility that Only hires MLS, pays well, and is fully staffed. you're in the minority. that's not how the majority of labs in the US are functioning. i'm no expert. i just know the ongoing struggle. you come from a skewed, unrealistic stance. yeah raising the pay would help. i'd argue nothing will change until our field is more regulated. you have to give them a reason to raise the pay. short staffing and hiring temps is nothing to them. st. vincent has spent millions and millions of dollars for replacement nurses and extra security while their nurses strike. the employees will continue to struggle out of sight, out of mind while the employer is protected and bailed out. legislation is the key.
