They don't BUT they do give a brief citation when telling the story. "On an episode of a show on ID" "The local newspaper" (they do name the actual programs/papers)

I do not understand how or why people got so pissed they "plagiarized" They made it clear from day one they were relying on outside sources and never presented key facts/ information as their very own. They even say post every episode that you can check their blog for sources and while it's not academic APA style- it's there.

I'll agree with you that it's "lazy" however the information is there and given that it's free consumption by podcasters, I don't know how much more you expect
