Why does every evangelical have to make everything about them and their religion?

Many Evangelicals (or at least the Evangelical/Fundamentalist/Charismatic hybrid we've seen for the past couple generations) simply can't not talk about their religion.

There's never an inappropriate time or place in their minds. I rarely see this with mainline Protestants, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists and others. They have a sense of social appropriateness usually.

At least with outsiders. Not saying the necessarily treat each other well. But all you hear in public is stuff like "No thanks (to a cup of coffee, say) it's Ramadan." "I'll hang out with you this afternoon, but I have to leave early to get to confession." "I had a nice Passover with my family."

And then the F---ing conversation moves on!!!

The Fundagelical ranting has the effect of pissing everyone off, but ironically also getting their ideas such as they are into the culture.

We've all heard a lot about it. They pay a lot of money to put their sermons on TV (the only Episcopal services I've ever seen on TV are the funerals of famous Episcopalians at the National Cathedral).
