He is right, The snake IS "generally believed to be Satan, at least in the Christian religion." It is almost laughable that you deny that is what most Christians believe.

You are welcome and encouraged to present arguments for why they are wrong to hold that belief, but you are absolutely wrong to accuse him of "spouting irrelevant irrelevance" for accurately describing what most Christians believe.
