There are way too many factors to give you a good answer. If you are in DC, LA, NY, you are bound to wait longer than Spokane, or Des Moines. I would say Jan 18 is a bit behind but on par. Additionally, after your initial interview there can be just one thing or multiple things holding it up. Have a couple of friends or an old supervisor in LA, overseas, or in a location that doesn’t have permanent investigators? You are then at the mercy of that location and when they can get to it. One thing I always tell my friends is when they go through a background, basically put everyone on notice and tell them to respond to the investigator. That also slows down things.
