Does Jeff Bezos' recent comments affect their decision to buy from Amazon?

Nope. Wouldn't mind even if this world turned full ancap and I died. Cause deep down somewhere, there's a workers' movement waiting to burst into flames.

Now, Posadist nuclear apocalypse, that would suck. But seeing Bezos doesn't have any of his hands on nuclear weapons, I'm good.

But, that is that. Changing my buying habits from one company to another just because one company is more shite than another slightly less shite company doesn't change much. There's no meaningful alternative other than simply stop buying from online distributers. It's about as useful as activism, which is to say, pretty useless. Not to mention all you're doing is cutting off your choices. This is one of those cases you're damned if you do, damned if you don't. Let's say I need a specific tool. No one near me carries it and the manufacturer no longer sells it or sells direct. But ebay or amazon has tons of sellers that do. Now you can either choose to simply live without it, or bite the bullet and buy it. Extreme comparison being that you simply decide to go live in a cave rather than in contemporary society. Just like refusing to buying from amazon (or any other online distribute) doesn't solve anything.

I mean, I guess it's all fine and dandy if you don't have to make that choice and don't actually need anything from amazon and can get alternatives. Great for you. However, that doesn't work for everything or everyone.
