That may very well be true, but still doesn't mean that the OpenWRT project itself supports that model router. The operative word is Orbi runs a modified version of OpenWRT, so NOT vanilla OpenWRT. Not to say that it is impossible for OpenWRT to evenutally support this, but there are certain requirements that first have to be met for that to be the case. Drivers have to be open sourced, on this note i believe that the Orbi uses ath11k drivers which have recently been merged into the 5.6 kernel, but only thing I've seen recently with regards to support for ath11k device for OpenWRT is a press release from 8devices regarding support for their Mango development boards. So, all of these things point to the Orbi potentially be a good candidate for support OpenWRT. It will likely be a little while before it is supported by mainstream OpenWRT, if that ever does happen.
