Does it seem like people are more rude and mean than ever before

Middle school and high school culture has spread worldwide basically, directly due to social media, but most crucially due to the Like button (introduced in 2009).

Everyone checks social media, but not everyone posts as much.

Who has the most time to post? Teenagers, and non-working, non-parent adults (statistically speaking).

Adults with kids and full time jobs have way less time to post.

As a result, the voices and ideology that gets spread the most comes from kids.

And if high school is any representation, kids are not exactly the nicest genre of people.

But yeah, nowadays its much more incentivized to be rude, loud, obnoxious, etc. And it just piles on and on and on.

Welcome to the future I guess.
