Why does Smallville get a pass where the DCEU does not?

I love your comments and I agree with all of them. Like you, I will never apologize for my love of Smallville. I also love Smallville for the fact that it covered the time in his life that he was trying to come into his own, not only dealing with his abilities but dealing with life as he grows up and seeing how he comes into his own makes me really invested in this show and the man who will be known as Superman.

I'm introducing my boyfriend to Smallville (he now has a major crush on Chloe) and we are almost done with the whole series (on Season 10 now). With the exception of some of the songs and some other things, I think it's a pretty good series. In my mind, Micheal Rosenbaum will always the greatest Lex Luthor ever. After the first four-five seasons, it gets darker and grittier. I think it is worth watching.

Also, it has gotten to be my starting point to delving into Superman and the comics (I've read Superman: Birthright and am actively reading both the Superman(Rebirth) and Action Comics (Rebirth)and watching Justice League:The animated series, and most of the movies.
