Does Target AP typically pursue the issue after the TM has stopped/resigned?

From what I've gathered as a non-LP/AP associate, the most likely course of action for something as small as a misdemeanor theft would be to face a fine/civil promise to pay the store in return for the stolen goods and/or termination, both w/o further legal pursuit in either way.

Of course, while I do not condone shoplifting, if they haven't noticed yet (or appear to have not noticed) and you aren't a repeat offender, perhaps it would be beneficial to you to not mention anything and stay the course of a straight and narrow man in the hopes that your continued good behavior keeps you without criminal charges and with a job.

I doubt any reasonable LP/AP associate would want to pursue charges against you if you did want to come clean, though. "Honesty is the best policy," as they say.
