Does the university offer tutoring in economics?

MY TIME TO SHINE!

Dr Sandberg teaches International Econ here. I passed his class with an A and I must tell you that he is without a doubt the best professor in the Economics department. His passion for the discipline, at least in my perspective, is untouched by anyone else.

Coincidentally, I just took Intermediate Price Theory this past semester. And guess what? Sandberg taught it.

Now that I'm done kissing the ass of my favorite professor, I will tell you this....

International Economics: Read the book.....READ...THE...BOOK...Everything he tests you on is straight from there and if you have a fundamental understanding of the material from the lectures, the book will sharpen your understanding and you'll come out surprised as to how well you'll perform on exam day. As far as homework goes, it's a bit more demanding and requires you to remember a lot from your intro (economic) classes as well as basic math skills (college algebra). Don't worry though, these are take-home homework assignments and you are able to work with someone else on them so long as you submit your own original work. THIS WAS MY FAVORITE CLASS OF HIS!

Intermediate Price Theory: Okay, so for this class you must have passed either ANALYTICAL TOOLS FOR ECONOMISTS or have passed a calculus equivalent. This course can be described as taking your knowledge from your intro (economics) classes and going deeper into what you learned.....much deeper....You will focus a LOT on models (graphing) and being able to interpret changes, mathematically solve problems, and prove you have what it takes to display a deeper understanding of economics and why firms (as well as consumers) behave the way they do.

Now, to answer your actual question. Yes, Intermediate Price Theory has tutoring sessions.

As for International Economics, I don't know. To be honest, I'm not sure why one would need it unless you're unwilling to read the book and willing to skip lectures.

I can't speak for any other professors who teach Intermediate Price Theory. All this was based on my experience. Take it as you will.
