Not as bad as cow shit. I was on a local MUP when I spotted a cow pat just around a corner, avoided 90% of it, but I'm afraid 'target fixation' kicked in and I caught the edge. Enough to cover me in stink.

Then it dawned on me, "cow pat? where did that come . . . ' and I rounded the next corner and there she stood. Gazing peacefully down the MUP chewing the grass that had enticed her to the 'other side of the fence'. I spotted the area where the fence had broken down, both the inner wire fence and the outer board fence had been broken. Not sure if SHE did it, or some one/thing else did it. I waited till she meandered on a bit off the path before darting past. She evidently had seen plenty of bikes as her pasture was right along the MUP, so she wasn't spooked. I called the police and they sort of asked what I expected them to do about it.

I returned a different way so I don't know what the eventual outcome was that day. On later rides I saw the fence was fixed. I too had to hose off the bike and rinse my clothes before wifey would allow me to put them into the washer.
