Doing a fantastic job

I am curious what do the PR people think about their local government handling of this? From independent reports it seems they're doing a pretty bad job of it.

Agreed. They're waaaay in over their heads on this and the U.S. should've given full control of ground operations (logistics, distribution, clearing of roads, communications) since day 1, instead of day 9 when General Buchanan was given the authority to do so.

Stockpiling resources and not distributing donated cash.

The stockpiling was due to the entire infrastructure being practically completely destroyed.. 100% of the island was without power (91.4% still today), no phone land line service, cell service was very limited in San Juan only, and only to the outside, zero within the island. Logistics and distribution was impossible, the main reason for the need of the military to step in. There are still communities that are completely cut off due to blocked roads, downed bridges, etc. About the cash, I don't think it is meant to be distributed, it is meant to pay for resources. Either way, no electricity means no ATM's. The few that were open had lines that were hours long,to then make hours long lines to get gas in the few gas stations that were actually operational. People and businesses that were functioning on generators would run out of fuel as a result.

The decades of Electrical grid mismanagement as well, what is the general opinion of that?
