Doing no damage in PVP but getting 2 shot?

Damage is based on weapon, weapon level, gems and character states. Most people that PvP have at least a level 10 weapon with +27.2% physical gems farmed from the Watchers in Isz (for triangle) and Pthumeru (for radial).

I hadn't played Dark Souls but I believe Bloodborne is faster. Due to this, you need to learn the iframe of dodging and hitting more I imagine. Players that had months of experience can toy inexperienced players around quite easily.

That's not all though, some may use Beast Blood Pellets. These may grant great damage if there a succession of multiple hits but it also reduces their defence. Also fire, bolt and arcane buffs on weapon can increase damage a tiny bit extra.

Be aware that Holy Moonlight Sword's untransformed quick R2 attack is a bit broken. The damage is a bit ridiculous for a fast attack personally but the key to beating those who only like using R2 stabs is evasions and quick weapons at the sides and being unpredictable. But every player is different, some may struggle with power weapons and some may struggle with speed weapons.

Be sure to have runes on such as clockwise metamorphosis, anti-clockwise metamorphosis and clawmark runes for increased health, stamina and visceral damage.

If you have 3 clawmark runes. Performing a successfully gun parry and visceral attack with a gun gemmed and levelled weapon, you should 1 shot them.
