Doki Doki Anniversary Memories!

I got into ddlc almost an entire year after it came out and I felt really bummed that I had gotten into it so late in it's life that most of the community had pretty much faded out at that point except for a fair amount of the more dedicated fanbase but nonetheless, I'm still glad that it has many dedicated members to this day willing to produce great fanart and wonderful mods to enjoy. I don't know what it was about this game that pulled me so deep into it. Many of my friends who played it moved on after playing it, just calling it "another VN game". But even after my original play through, I got into the various mods that were in this game and have been able to enjoy all the stories that the fans have been able to create. Being someone who struggles with depression, I feel especially drawn to Sayori because the way Dan designed her to be a realistic portrayal of depression really hits deep. I'm fully aware that Dan doesn't have a sequel planned for this game and probably never will but for the time being, I'm going to enjoy the game, it's characters and it's fan base for as long as I possibly can.
