Don Bradman Cricket is coming to the PS4

the game has some flaws that doesn't make me play the shit out of it, especially in career mode. bowling looks nice, feels nice, but it doesn't matter HOW you bowl. You can bowl six exact same balls and get a maiden, if feels like it doesn't matter much if you bowl a good or a bad ball as long as you dont fuck it up completely. put it on the right length and line and the outcome is like a dice roll. This makes bowling rather dull and outright boring in 4-day/test-matches where you sometimes have to bowl 30 overs or more. I skip the 4-day games in carreer mode because i feel they take too long.

In the field there are catching mechanics and everything but you can either watch every single ball and hope something comes in your direction (kinda realistic but super boring) or skip the whole thing and never field. other games had this right in the past where you were only presented with the catching/run-out chances. Oh and while bowling i haven't seen a run out of the AI in about 80 hours played, so at this point i don't think it's even possible which adds to the boring bowling experience. I almost allways bowl spin so that might be a bug only with spin bowlers, i don't know.

Batting is really nice though and when you have some patience and time on your hand you can get beautiful run a ball centurys that require quite some concentration and feel very rewarding. sometimes i feel like it's easier to hit straight sixes than play a basic cut shot though, but overall batting is really solid and imho the best part of the game.

since bowling is my favorite part of cricket i can't enjoy the game as much as i would like to. i really wan't to play the shit out of it and there is tons of potential, but after some time it get's boring really fast. I still wouldn't say it was wasted money because the first 50 or so hours where really fun and they are still busy improving the game, so there is hope for more.
