Also they were super annoying compared to any other parents. Leaving the house was always a hassle. I would always get bombarded with a bunch of messages before anyone else had to go home.

I relate a good deal to this. Anytime I tried to leave hom to go hang out with my friends, my mom in particular would be so fucking annoying. What I figured out to do, was leave directly from school and leave it at that. Idk why I bothered to share that last bit lol.

I had the opportunity to change when I was younger and I was on the right path. But my parents fucked up my momentum and tried their best to steer me into a kid who is a faggot/beta, stay at home awkward loser.

It pisses me off, too. I turned out well socially, but I could've been so much better had I not been helicopter-parented.

I love my parents, and only mildly resent them. I guess I'm just imaginative in regards to what could have been.
