Sometime last year, a mainstream news agency released an article about the modern day cultural influence of Rhodesia and Apartheid South Africa to a lesser degree and it included Rhodesia-related twitter posts and videos by Larry Vickers. The way they were presented in the article put Larry in a bad light and forced him to clean-up his social media and certain YT videos.

At about the same time, Ian and Larry collaborated on FW on the subject of Larry's Rhodesian FN FAL, which is a really interesting combat-used rifle from the Bush War. The timing was such that Ian was bound to get exposed to the storm caused by the article with regards to Larry, but what made the situation worse was some off-the-cuff political commentary on the Bush War by Larry, which forced Ian to disable comments on Rhodesia and maybe South African related videos from that period. And he also got involved in some back and forth in the commet section in those videos.
