I don’t want to be a lumberjack anymore

First of all, I appreciate such a well written response.

You bringing up what this sub really is about makes me realize that maybe I have been judging it under too harsh standards. I thought this was a place to be pushing fashion, but maybe I'm wrong.

I think to a certain extent you can always push the boundaries of a certain style. Like for example, if you decided to dress more skater, are you wearing Vans? Are you wearing a different type of shoe that maybe wouldn't go with that style? I think that if you have a good understanding of the style that you dress for you can try and make small adaptations to standout a little.

You bringing up how long you've been on this sub also brings up an interesting point that a lot of people don't seem to acknowledge: how age heavily determines your style. I'm probably on the younger side of this sub, so whether I like it or not, a lot of the styles of my peers and I are heavily influenced by TikTok. I don't see any of those styles here. And it definitely seems that the age of the typical poster here is probably older than me, so we are probably looking for different things when it comes to fashion.
