Why don’t most indie dyers include swatches?

Others have explained why a lot of the time swatches aren't feasible nor even really useful. But I do think sellers should at least be reskeining, showing a pic of the entire skein, and describing the colors.

However, I think with a lot of sellers that don't do that, most of their sales come from people in-the-know rather than browsers. People that already follow the seller and people that use their products on social media and know what the colorways will look like knit up, or just that they like the person's dyeing style. And yeah, they're not going to pull in new people who don't enjoy things like cross referencing ravelry. But I guess they're doing okay without them, otherwise they'd start doing it.
