I don’t have a sex partner and I’m taking birth control pills purely for my period pain and acne, yesterday I missed a pill. Does it harm my body to quit the pills temporarily say for a month and restart again?

Hey. The reason I am “copy pasting” this on threads is because people keep saying the same thing and the answer is the same. I know birth control has helped many women. But I’m passionate about being educated on what’s actually happening in our bodies. I’m tired of the medical field prescribing birth control as a blanket solution for all female related health issues without looking at any underlying causes. Yes BC helps, because it’s synthetic hormones covering up symptoms and when people get off BC, all of their issues flare up again. I get where you’re coming from, but as someone who blindly followed my doctors orders since I was a teen with no actual solution, to then doing research and finally figuring it out, I want as many women as possible to know about their bodies! Much love.
