I don’t understand why people act like suicide is a big deal

it’s a big deal because life is a gift. many don’t realize how grateful they should be to be here. i’ve lost loved ones from sicknesses and accidents and while it’s not suicide, it’s the fact that their life was taken from them without choice. we all problems in our lives. my partner was cheating, my friend died. i’m broke. i have nothing to live for.

you take your life, that’s the easy part. you are here. but what you meant to others will never be forgotten. i lost my uncle and it’s been 4 years but i still remember what he stood for.

i lost my friend in an accident in 7th grade or 5 years ago. life isn’t the same without him. so if you take your life, i’d say you are selfish. because you don’t realize what you will leave behind. i wish i could talk to him again. his life was robbed from him. and because i see life as this gift, i’ll never would or accept suicide. no matter how bad it gets.

what will your future be? i want to finish high school in these next weeks, go to college, graduate, get a cs job out of college. start family business. move somewhere nice. start a family. have kids.

these goals purely drive me. and when people say oh i don’t have anything there for me. i say you’re lying. everybody wants something. are they willing to put in the work? if you take your life now, imagine all those possibilities in the future. imagine you save someone’s life. imagine making someone happy. being someone’s parent. imagine being here. and i’ll say it again, don’t rob yourself of that future. life is truly a gift. no matter how bad it gets.
