Don’t know where I’m going

For a moment I thought you were one of my best friends (I recommended him the German sub some days ago and your post is identical to his story). Well, I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. A lot of people are feeling like that because of the lockdown and the short-term plans they had are no longer viable.

It's okay to take a break if you need it. What do you love about German? You probably can spend time reading about what you like and your future career, but in German. Or listening to podcasts if that's what you prefer. There are some websites that let you explore about countries in the language you choose (for example TripAdvisor, you can read there a bit about monuments and places). I guess it works while we can't travel.

If you decide to take a break, it's fine to dedicate time to re-discover things that you like, trying new activities... Trying new things is also very important, no need to follow a routine every day to learn a language. If you were prepared to study abroad you won't forget your German in some days or weeks.
