I mean this is all you need to know about Bernie or Busters. They believe that "bust" is a perfectly viable and reasonable outcome that will result in Trump being president for only 4 years and then the DNC will learn its lesson and choose a better candidate next time.

We talk about the mental gymnastics Trump supporters have to engage in to defend Trump, but this Bernie Bust stuff is just beyond the realm of retardation.

1) They make the mistake of assuming they will only have to put up with Trump for 4 years despite the incumbent reelection rate being high as fuck. So, they might as well say 8 years and stfu.

2) Just as easily as Trump could fail, he could succeed. If he succeeds then he is definitely getting reelected a second term. Additionally, success is subjective. So if you are really a liberal, he might very well be a decent president but could still enact all sorts of backwards policies that set social/financial issues back. The point is who fucking knows.

3) Idk why anyone of these assholes think their vote matters so much that a party will change for them. Look how much the Republicans establishment are fighting against Trump Supporter wishes. There is no guarantee things will go as well as you hope 4/8 years from now.

In total, the entire movement is based on hopes and dreams just like Bernie's campaign. It all sounds great, but that shit probably won't happen.
