These republicans - Mitch, Romney, Graham and co are Republicans who in the senate

• just agreed to a trillion dollar infrastructure bill

• without even reading it

• despite the fact that it would become a multitrillion dollar bill after reconciliation

• and the fact that the bill little to do with infrastructure and a lot to do with radical change

The ideologies may be different, but the republicans are not really following a conservative ideology. These republicans are conserving nothing. It is only in comparison with Democrats' outlandish policies that they are even seen as an alternative.
