Donald Trump’s ‘Mexican rapists’ rhetoric will keep the Republican Party out of the White House "That plays well with many far-right Republican primary voters desperately clinging to an America that no longer exists. But such rhetoric is the death knell for the GOP — and the party knows it."

What is sad is that every time a hilariously bigoted viewpoint is spewed from a Republican candidate, mainstream conservative talking heads automatically endorse it.

The couple in Australia that are divorcing in protest of gay rights? Local talk show hosts think these people are freaking martyrs in a holy war.

Donald Trump saying we should force Mexico to build a wall to keep out their 'racists?' Good on him for talking about things near and dear to real Americans, for having swagger. Ann Coulter of course simply thinks that Mexicans are rapists (bonus opinion: Women shouldn't allowed to vote!), while slightly more moderate Laura Ingraham still agreed with Trump's comments but prefers "populist" Scott Walker for his economic views + the same anti-immigration talk.

The most important Christian leader in the world states that we need to worry about the environment? It is just wrong for a person without a science background to talk about that, it mixes religion and politics. Oh, and he sounds like a false prophet. That is right, not only is wrong to mix religion and politics, he's also just the anti-christ and leader of the new world order of Marxists. (Source: Michael Savage, 5.25M listeners)

You can imagine how these talk shows sounded after the Baltimore riots. A lot of talk about how black people were just thugs and looters. Some blame for Democrats turning honest Republican Christian black people to monkeys, but mostly just blaming black people for being destined to be criminals.

These opinions don't come from quacks, from loons, from crazy 3AM hosts that talk about aliens abductions. Each comes from hosts with literally millions of viewers, the most mainstream Republican media outlets by almost any definition of the word.

For your own sake, turn the radio to conservative media now and then just to get a different opinions. And don't be surprised when that opinion is bigoted, or at the very least incredibly hateful.
