Don't

If for you calling someone “fag” is the epitome of slurs that’s not “mildly offensive” the implication is that being gay is an insult, thus that being gay is a really horrible thing. So for you calling someone by a word used to oppress marginalized people is a great insult because for you a) calling someone gay is an insult and b) using a derogatory term for it to show that being gay makes that person inferior or sub-human is a great insult.

There are gay people who still risk their lives for just being who they are. Gay people can be fired from their job, be disowned by their family,be beaten or killed just for being born gay. Words matter. The word “fag” fuels that hatred towards gay people. It’s the word that gay kids hear when their father hits them and throws out. It’s the word gay people hear before getting the skull bashed in by a stranger in the street. It’s a word that brings out a lot of severe trauma. A decent human being should be capable of understanding that and respecting their fellow human beings.

Already you shouldn’t requires “heavy” insults or any insults at all to go through life. Insulting people you know or strangers online doesn’t solve anything. It doesn’t prove your point or lets you win an argument. If you absolutely require insulting people to go on with your existence, think of insults that don’t alienate an entire group of already marginalized people. Or even better yet, learn how to meditate, to look inside yourself, learn about yourself, what triggers you. Learn how to control anger and your emotions and you will be happier in life.
