I can't tell if you're implying that I'm the one who is egging him on or that I'm saying he is doing this to entertain us as a showman because you are quite wrong on both accounts.
If you read my comment carefully, I am actually advocating for this entire sub to shut down so that Etika can catch a break from reading the "egging on comments" that you so kindly said should stop. AKA I'm actually trying to reduce the toxic comments all gathered in one place that he frequents which is for his well being. Unfortunately in reality, the online comments can't be stopped completely, but the mods here have the power to stop him reading it all in one place here. I'm advocating for that but nobody cares.
And about him not being a show to watch. I'm sorry, but as much as I like the entire world to be saints who apparently cares for every single Content Creator they watch like a brother/sister they know personally, I did not watch / follow / care enough to comment about Etika because I followed him for 10 years and that he represents my childhood growing up etc etc. I'm not here to feed BS to anybody and prove I'm a No.1 JoyconBoy or whatever. I watched him cuz i liked some of his 3DS content in the past, some reactions here and there and that he is entertaining on Youtube. Is there something wrong about that? He is a content creator that I enjoy watching period. That's Etika to me. Whatever that happens to his personal life is quite frankly none of my business and that I have no right to criticise how he deals with it. That said I wish him the best as an online stranger and that I care enough to follow the news thus far to believing Alice saying its possible that the subreddit comments are affecting him. But since people here believe in freedom of speech over shutting down the subreddit in attempt to give Etika some peace (I know there's still Twitter but at least it's Twitter alone and not Twitter + Reddit cancer comments at once).
All that is said and done, if you still think I'm some kind of douchebag who needs help because I apparently didn't care enough for an online persona that I have never met in person, then I think you might need to re-examine your perspective of what Internet personas are and how we should deal with them.
I don't even know why I wrote such a long piece, but whatever. I guess I just felt a lil annoyed when people seem to expect every single fan here has to be someone who apparently cares for an Online Persona in a particular way instead of just viewed as an entertainer on the outside.
