I really do appreciate the feedback, and I didn't want to get too much into specifics or my post would be too lengthy. But I disagree in that development of a game is really vastly different- after leading teams in the past in both marketing and design/development for completely different types of physical/virtual products in completely different industries with large ranging delivery dates, at a top level the sales/marketing/design/development processes work very similarly although with different short/long-term goals depending on the type of product.

From your point about the design-oriented issue, yes it's also very possible that a smart businessman who knows how to pick and delegate to the right talent can also get things done. My main point is that the results that SBI show that the incompetent comes from the top, that all these constant shallow artwork content pushes while development continues to lag is just further proof. Also have you looked into the game director and CEO's background per my post? You seemed to skip this part.

Yes I also understand Albion was created on Unity and most likely licensed, so any complete revamp type work would basically not be worth doing, but that does not exclude the fact that having a competent lead steering/delegating talented developers could still work within Unity scripting to deliver on the work that SBI has already promised in the past as mentioned in my original post. It's also very possible they are outsourcing this development which would make complete sense as to why things take so long on the development front. If anything my post is stressing the reason why their development quality/time is poor especially on things they have promised in the past, not anything about asking for completely new and huge development changes.

I don't deny a project of this size is a challenge, but at the end of day people will judge the success of the game in different ways. For all you know, SBI's CEO is laughing all the way to the bank after having taken his share of the profits. But there still are players playing and ultimately results are what will be judged.
