Don't buy the Oculus Rift.

i cant comment on the glasses thing but everything else seems like user error.

For the twisted cable, just don't rotate in only one direction. I have this happen in echo arena mostly, i just try to be more mindful of my positioning and if i rotate left, i'll try to rotate right the next time.

Left headphone loose? I'm not sure how this would happen for something that remains static most of the time.

Tracking issues are tricky. Do you have 2 sensors plugged into usb 3 ports and the 3rd in a usb 2.0 port as recommended by Oculus? If your HMD in a usb 3 port? Does your motherboard have sufficient USB 3.0 bandwidth? Dirty sensors perhaps? Maybe try a two sensor setup and see if you can get stable tracking, and then add the third.

Build quality seems fine to me. I used the thing many hours per week, i've dropped the HMD, thrown the touch controllers across the room accidentally... no issues.
