This campaign, in my view has a great cause, eating disorders, however like so many has an absolutely SHIT message - don't question my appearance. Right. What the fuck does that have to do with drawing attention to Bulimia ? Tenuous shit. But whatever, what REALLY fucks me off is the desire to make it out to be MORE than it is with bullshit claims and incredibly tenuous links and ridiculous extrapolations.
They make some interesting claims about this campaign - such as
*Why this is important? * Eating disorders kill more Australians than any other psychiatric illness
Where they draw this conclusion from was very VERY hard to find as they make absolutely no reference to it on their website, or their fact sheets anywhere. I had to go through to a report commissioned by Deloits back in 2012 to find any reference and all - and lets be clear its SKETCHY AS FUCK.
The ABS data clearly states that 14 people died of eating disorders - but fuck that, lets just say that anyone who died who had an eating disorder, died because of it - what the living fuck ?
But what about other mental illnesses like depression ?
So why make stupid claims that are just going to make you look dishonest, like you are having to exaggerate shit to get attention ? Whats WORSE why try and claim you are MORE damaging to society than OTHER mental illnesses, like its some sort of fucking competition.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young Australians and accounts for the deaths of more young people than car accidents Breakdown: 324 Australians (10.5 per 100,000) aged 15-24 dying by suicide in 2012. This compares to 198 (6.4 per 100,000) who died in car accidents (the second highest killer).

The same year as this eating disorder study was conducted, and the ABS stated 14 people died from their eating disorders we get this from depression and mental illness
In 2012, 1,901 males (16.8 per 100,000) and 634 females (5.6 per 100,000) died by suicide.
I'm sorry for ranting but what a load of shit. https://www.lifeline.org.au/About-Lifeline/Media-Centre/Suicide-Statistics-in-Australia/Suicide-Statistics
