Don't fucking drink and drive.

How many years have you spent in prison? Have you even been arrested before?

The system fails us all because people still believe this. Everyone disagrees with what punishment should be. Everyone disagrees that people need to be rehabilitated.

The person in the OP is just as likely to become a "criminal."

Life has a way of knocking us down, and some of us simply need some real help getting back up.

If the system actually functioned, people wouldn't be in prison. They would be getting the help they needed.

See they can't do that... Because then you wouldn't fear them. They seem to think that people just wake up in the morning and decide to throw their life away; that fearing their system will repair the damage.

It might work for some entitled prick that's just having a jolly, but most cases these people are lifers. These people are already in a prison, and there's less and less help for them. Less and less chance for "parole."

I hope you never lose your shit over a horror that happens in your life. When that does happen, you'll get to meet this "justice" that you're calling for and have to realize just how crappy the system is.
