I don't identify with the "Intelligent but doesn't push themselves" stereotype of ADHD.

ADHD is pretty diverse. I've never identified with the "doesn't push themselves" part, I think I am pretty ambitious, I don't think it would be fair to say I am not hardworking at all, I'm just really mentally disorganized. I practically lived in the library and am very driven in my career as well. A lot of my professors and peers in grad school seemed to be on the same wavelength as me, I felt like I fit in pretty well with my ADHD in the math department. My main advisor/professor was probably more ADHD than I am. I think I make up for it in a lot of ways, so my boss or professor might get a little annoyed when I do something like miss a flight, show up late, or just screw something simple up, but I am useful enough in other ways that they keep me around and just know to remind me 5 times to do something.

People with ADHD are truly all over the map.
