Don't know if I really fit here but I have a few questions.

Just because you are 23 with no experience or network, doesn't mean you have to remain that way, but it is not a good position to starts something NOW. If being your own boss is where you want to head, than you should put together a 5-10 year plan on getting there. I'll use my son as an example because he is about your age. He graduated college in 2011 with a degree in economics and i was able to get him an internship with a young startup making $10 an hour.

Because it was a young startup, it afforded him an opportunity to work in many areas within the company that would have been closed to him at a much larger, more established company. His first task was to put together their Salesforce billing system. He was hired out of the internship at about $35k a year. After a few years working in the marketing department, he was able to get them to pay for training as a front end developer, and he moved over to the engineering department soon after with a bump in salary to about $55k. He got lots of experience doing front end development, and about a year ago, took a new job at a different company as a front end developer at $85k. On his own, he began studying backend development work, learned C++ and other backend technologies. In the last few weeks his old company asked to get him back and offered him a 6 figure salaried job working as a full stack developer, working on a team doing problem solving. He will soon look to move up to a director position. this will put him in a very good position to be a CTO over the next few years and a very good position to become a founder in a tech startup, which is his eventual goal. In 4 years he went from a $10 an hour intern with no experience, to a full stack developer position making 6 figures and positioned to take his career to the next level. My guess is that by the age of 30, he will be a CTO at a top startup.

By putting together a multi year plan, you can really established yourself, and give yourself the proper background to realize your dreams. And you are at the perfect age to put together such plan. Look for intern, entry level positions at any startup who will hire you and gain the experience you need. Plan on 5-10 years to realize your goal.
